Hi Debbie,

One thing I realized from our very first emails, you truly loved and cared for all your animals, both puppies and adults.  I talked to many breeders, before I met you and I was never satisfied about their commitment to their animals.  Once we started communicating, I knew that I was picking my puppy from one of your litters and even if I had to wait a year or six months, it would be worth the wait.  You patiently and in depth answered all of my questions.  I know I was a pest, but you never let on and my only goal was this desire to want to know everything about raising shih Tzu puppies.

Then you gave us the first, opportunity of adopting Lily and you can’t believe how honoured I felt.  Of course at first, Yuris was worried that Simba may not adapt and that he would be unhappy.  I had seen Lily enough to know that the two of them would be just fine and they would thrive together.  With Lily, I can’t put my finger on what captivated me about her, but there was something special and unique about her, maybe it was the fact that she was the smallest of the pack but the leader just the same or maybe it was the way I watched her keep the on-watchers at a respective distance from her puppies and yet humans she trusted explicitly and showed total respect.  Taking her home, it only got better, after a week with us, she settled down and we noticed how much she loved to run, just like Simba and now he had someone to chase and be chased by and finally do dog things, he was completely happy, but he did watch to see how the attention was being delved out.  It wasn’t so much Yuris, but it was me he watched.  I always kept it fair and I made sure everything was equal and over time we all have our special places and routines.   When you look at the size of Simba and Lily it is hard to believe that he is her son as she is so tiny and refined looking, he definitely has the stature of Tonka.

One thing is for certain, both Lily and Simba are dearly loved and cherished by all of us and they have been great companions for Yuris, he would definitely have been lost without them.  He went through a difficult time and they were there for him.  We definitely think they have given us more then we have ever given them and there isn’t anything we wouldn’t do to protect or care for them.  It is kind of a win-win situation for all of us and even Yuris’s mother who just lives for seeing the two of them.  The last 3 years of her life have been difficult for her physically (95yrs old) and yet her spirit soars when she sees the two of them and I honestly feel it’s helped her cope the loss of her husband and eldest daughter.  It’s wonderful to see how she lives for them and Yuris takes them for visits every couple of weeks and I think she enjoys seeing them more then even her own kids or grandchildren.  She adores them and they have this special bond with her too and Simba especially.  We let him go once we are in the building and he knows to wait by the elevator and exactly which door to go to once we are on her floor and I have never seen him so hyper and excited and there is nothing anyone can do to settle him down.  He barks like crazy for her apartment door to open and then he is in her lap and kissing her, before she knows what hit her.  From the doorway I hear her laughing and laughing hysterically and this goes on for at least 5 minutes, it’s a wonder this welcome hasn’t given her a heart attack.  I have never seen Simba so nuts over anyone before, he is not even like that with us when we are away.  Lily in the meantime is waiting patiently by her feet for her turn and permission to jump up.  Simba doesn’t like when it’s her turn, but he has learned to share grandma and he is quick to recapture his spot on her lap once Lily has her turn.  It will be interesting when your mother visits whether he is like that with elderly people or is it just something about Yuris’s mother.

I should let you go, I am just so amazed by their intelligence and there are not too many people who want to listen to how smart our dogs are, but I know you enjoy hearing about all your family of Shih Tzu’s.  Thanks for listening and thanks again so much for looking after them for us.  You are doing us such a big favour and I know you have said before that you don’t want payment for looking after them, but if you ever change your mind, I’d be happy to pay.  Even if you never accept, I will always find some way of repaying you for the big favour you are doing for us, as I truly do appreciate the care and love you give them in our absence and of course your whole family and a special mention to Dennis too!  Take care and many thanks again, Janet.

Hi Debbie,

Sorry for not emailing you sooner. I was going to email you a copy of the vet’s health certificate, but having technical difficulties. I can’t figure out scanner and hubby is out of town for a couple of days. The vet said that he is very healthy. She was pleased that you had de-wormed him 4 times- she said many breeders only do it 3 times. The owner of the pet store was also very impressed with your choice of dog food- he said that many breeders will give puppy’s cheap food to keep costs down. So thanks for giving him a good start to his life. We love Max!! He has a really calm but adventurous personality. You obviously took time to socialize him well- he doesn’t seem to be frightened or nervous around people, new experiences or sounds. He seems to just go with the flow. He is curious and willing to check out his environment without unhealthy fear or hesitation. He training is going really well- still mostly going outside and sleeping in his crate all night. Thanks so much for this amazing little puppy- we will send pictures when he grows up a little. Thanks once again. Lynn

Max is fantastic- he went to bed without a peep and we didn’t hear from him again until 6:30- thanks for the extra care you have given to his training. He is such a good natured little guy and is already exploring both inside and out! He has also been pretty good so far in going outside to pee- thanks for starting the training. I have a question for you- do you need us to go to the vet within 48 or is a suggestion and is there something we should be asking for in particular or will the vet know what to check for. Thanks Lynn

Just got back from the vet. Check up went fine, everyone there loved her and her name! (Eleven) Dr. Spice thought she was a puppy, couldn't find anything wrong, and loved the fact that she had substance to her...he's not fond of the tiny boned ones due to health issues, but he thought she might do in the show ring if she continues to develop this nicely. She actually lost a few ounces, she was 4.1 pounds, but she's only been here a couple of days. I made her next appointment for Dec.14th for her last shots.  Lorna

Hi Deb,

Steve(Jett - the kids changed his name!) is doing very well! We adore him! He is so eager to please, happy and outgoing! We would recommend your puppies to anyone looking for a Shih Tzu.

He has all his shots. He is very big! Over 9lbs at his Jan. Vet appointment. Again, a really friendly, lovable fellow. I will let you know when his papers arrive and will send copies of the vet records when he is nuetered.

Best,

Carla

Deb,

Just got home, he (Jett) was an angel the whole way home! We stopped a couple of times and he slept most of the way. Not a whimper. He has been playing chase in the backyard with Tazz and the cat is the one who is annoyed, but dealing with the new family member. Will let you know how the first night goes.

Thanks!

Carla

Debbie,

I just emailed the money to you.  I have to be honest, I wanted to check up on you and your dogs first, called your vet etc.  and yes - YOU are fabulous!  And so are your DOGS!  But you knew that already didn't you :)  I am thinking I am not quite ready for him this weekend and I am a little bit under the weather to make a big trip.  I will if this works best for you, otherwise next weekend would be better for me.  Thinking actually to meet in Virden or Brandon after consulting a map.  Yes I will reimburse for fuel.  However, would you first check with the family from Regina and see if they would be willing to bring Jett with them Tuesday?  If so what time they would be back in Regina for me to meet them?

Thanks.

Carla

Hi Debbie,

As a breeder myself, I know a good puppy when I see one. Arcee fits in like she was born here.

Her vet check was all thumbs up and a copy is attached, as contracts state.

She has been going on her pee-pads great, no accidents yet and is upstairs having a nap in her kennel right now, good job there also. She has no problem sleeping in her kennel, (with out whining either) I even had the door open a few times to see if she would stay in there or come out. A couple of times she stuck her head out but only to hang it over the edge, and back to sleep again. She woke up once last night around 2:00 AM, and whined a little (of coarse) to tell me she was awake. When I let her out of the kennel she relieved herself on the pad and went back into the kennel and right back to sleep again, it was great. Well trained, at such a young age of 8wks. You have done most of the work already and now I will put the finishing touches on her and she will become a good asset to the Calgary community.

She is great to play with, has all kinds of energy and is quite the laugh jumping around and trying to play with you by using her feet as if to grab you or high 5 you. Very comfortable on her back, nice to see.

Arcee has more black in her, so she is much darker than Maya right now, hope she keeps it.

She eats drinks and does her bathroom duties with ease so there is no anxiety here and Arcee has no problems with the other dogs. I haven’t introduced her to Kali yet, that’s usually a fun one because Kali is as gentle with them as if she was a puppy herself and not a 135 lb Rottweiler the size difference always makes me laugh to watch how Kali plays so gently with such a small puppy. I usually leave that till after a few days, not to much all at once.

Well Debbie she is a joy to have and will strengthen my breeding lines tremendously. Thank you so much for her.

Talk later

Lance and Diane -- Pink Ribbon Shih Tzu’s, Calgary, AB.

PS – I highly believe you get what you pay for and Arcee was worth every cent !!!

Hi Deb,
I just wanted to say thanks very much for your concern with Molly. She is doing just great. I would with out any doubt tell anyone interested in purchasing a puppy to go through you. Molly has brought another delightful personality into the home. I know that she will be quite small however that is only her body because her personality is huge. She is funny, mischevious and loving all at the same time. I never had thought in a million years that I would have three SHIHTZU'S however I wouldn't give any of them up for anything. Thank you for being a great breeder.
Jen and Ken

Hi Deb,
Molly is doing just great. The vet check went well. She is still snorting a little but they say that her breathing is just fine and it will fix as she grows. She is eating well now I don't have to feed her by hand any longer. She does get along very well with Lucy but Suzie really could care less for her but is coming around slowly. She was way worse with Lucy. The funny thing is Suzie barks at Molly and lucy get's right in the middle of them and gives them both shit. Molly is tiny however she does not take any crap at all. She dishes it out pretty well. As for the potty training she knows what to do when she is out side but it seems as though if she isn't in her kennel she will just pee on the carpet? I am not to sure what to do to get her to tell me she needs to go outside? Do you think I am giving her too much time out of her kennel? She sleeps in bed with us and makes no mess at all so she can hold it for a long time. Should she be in there the majority of the time? Hopefully you will have some idea's for me. I got the email you sent. PS how are your puppies?

Jen

Hi Debbie,

We received the papers Friday ... thank you.

Coco is doing great, Mom and Dad arrived home with her from Manitoba 2 weeks ago and she has adjusted well to the house and the large back yard in which she and can run without her leash, (compared to the Motorhome livivng) ... we just love having her around. She is scheduled to get spayed in January, she received her last shot last week. I will send you the receipt of the spayed once it is done.

As soon as I get some pictures I will send you a couple

But so far everything is great

Thank you
Michelle

Hi Debbie,

She is so adorable, she is as wide as she is tall ... way too cute and she gives the older dog a run for her money. It is a good thing that Maddie can get up on things out of Coco's way, for now anyways:)

Yes, Mom took her in this past Friday and everything is good ... the only thing that the vet wanted to know was why my Mom asked for the test ... was there a problem with the older dog, asked if Maddie was vaccinated or had there been a problem with how Coco was eating or acting, my Mom said that she was asked by the breeder to bring her in and get tested. The stool sample was want they wanted to see and they did what the vet called the standard parvo test, everything is good ... she is healthy which is the many thing, Coco goes again on October 4th for her next visit

Thank you again for everything, she is a real joy to be around and well worth the wait

Michelle

Hi Debbie,
Gidget just got back from her "big band-aid" operation today, and she is doing well.  Gizmo missed her while she was away - He spent the whole night running around the house looking for her.

Gizmo and Gidget are having a great time together - They're best buddies, and they play, sleep and eat together.  Gidget is the friendliest, sweetest puppy, and we can't thank you enough for her.

I have attached a few pics from today of Gidget and Gizmo with some rawhide bones (their favourite!).

Hope all is well!  :) Kerri

Hello!

They aren't the best pics, I took them from my phone, but I have a few cute ones. As you can see, it's pretty hard to get a picture of Gidget when she's not sleeping! She and Gizmo are getting along famously, and we couldn't be happier with her. She goes back to the vet in a week and a half for her last puppy vaccination, and to her first grooming appointment this Friday!

I don't plan to have her spayed until 1 year. I know some vets will do it earlier, but I'd like to wait until all her organs are fully developed before undertaking surgery.

We will keep you up to date on her progress.

Kerri Fortier

She (Gidget) has, the vet said everything looked great. She's going back in three weeks.
Kerri Fortier

Dear Debbie,

I'll let you know when i get Bella S's papers.  We have yet to spay her but are in the process of booking an appointment for the end of April as I have a few days off.  Will let you know what that's done too.

FYI: Bella is doing fabulous!  Very friendly and starting to pick up a few tricks too.  Currently she is learning how to walk and stop at curbs while out for a walk and is picking things up pretty quickly!

And she's adorable to boot.  I'll enclose some pics as I don't think we've sent you any updated ones.

Have a good day,

Jenn, Trev and Bella

Hi Debbie,

Maggie is doing great. She has had all her shots and her vet check went well. She is going to be a big girl, as she is already 10 lbs. She is such a sweetheart and so full of love. Training is going okay, she seems to catch on really well. She seems really happy with her new family.

Kathy

Hi Debbie

Regan’s just a “furry lightening bolt”.  He never sits still for very long and is always ready to play tug-o-war with Bentley and an old sock.  He’s had all his shots and the vet says he’s in good health.  He weighs about 10 pounds.  I’ve kept him in coat and he looks great after grooming but at his age he’s not interested in Bows and Hairclips.

At the present time, I’m not training him for show as my health is not yet back to normal.  I may not show him at all.  Time is just flying by……

He is housetrained and sleeps in his kennel at night with all the toys he can stuff in there, he loved it since the day we brought him home and we’ve never had a problem with him at night.

He is going to need surgery for his umbilical hernia – so after he is 6 months (closer to 7) I’m going to get the hernia repaired.  I will send you a pic of him, I have hardly any where you can actually see his face – he’s too fast – but I do have one of him just home from the groomer last week.  He also LOVES the snow – rolls around in it every chance he gets.

I did get the CKC papers, thanks

 Shirley

Hi there – sorry to bother you so soon but I forgot to ask how much food Regan eats a day.  I assume you were feeding him 3 times a day.  What amount would you feed him at one time.

He certainly livened up once we got home.   We let the dogs meet outside and Regan was extremely happy to see other dogs and chased Bentley around the yard barking at him.  It was so cute.

Right now he’s relaxing with a chew stick in this crate and seems very happy.  Thanks again for everything, he’s a treasure.

p.s.  Thanks for all the goodies you packed with him – that was very nice!!

Shirley

Hi Debbie,

Mia is doing great. She is quite the character, into absolutely everything. She runs around the house playing with the other dogs fine. She gives the german shorthair a run for her money, hyper as can be.We all love her to death..I cannot wait to see her with a full coat ,I am combing her daily.I do not cut them down at all,I love a long coat even though it is alot of work.I will be sure to keep you updated.I am going to get another shih tzu in the spring. Thanks for everything.I will email you when the papers arrive.

Take care
Wendy

Hi Debbie

Thank-you so much for Myrrhi, his first night went beautifully, he cried twice in the kennel at bedtime, and then that was it until 6am.  He learning the house and giving Gidget and Gizmo a run for their money.

Marcya

Hi Debbie,

We wanted to drop you a line to let you know how Franki has been making out since Saturday.  Firstly, thank you for the awesome starter pack - you put so much into it!!
Franki has been adjusting well to his new surroundings.  He is quite attached to me, and tends to stick to me rather than my partner so far.  He is eating and slept without a peep last night!!  The house breaking is coming along well....had a little accident in the house on Sunday, but all the "#2"s have been out side.   A visit to the vet yesterday confirmed he is all good inside and out!  He was pretty shy at the office with the staff but had no problems being handled by his Vet.  We are making an appointment to get him fixed pretty soon.
He may be missing his brother...mirrors have upset him on a couple of occasions casue he seems to be looking for the puppy in the reflection (or his brother Myrhhi ?)  Figured he may be wanting another Dog to interact with, so took him to meet a friend's dog.  Franki interacted well with her.

We are enjoying him very much. Thank you for the care you obviously gave to him. We are enrolling in a level 1 puppy class next month.  He's already a doll, so once we're done with those classes and keep at the training I know we're going to have a obedient and happy little dog.

Sincerely,
Tracy & Jay

Hi Debbie

Things are going well couldn’t be better, her name is Bella. The vet check was fine I’ll mail out the vet report or I’ll bring it to my friends house to scan so I can email it out to you.

I’ll also send you out some pictures of her, she’s so cute. She hates her kennel but she’s getting better  not crying for that long , Bella goes in it around midnight until 5ish then I hear her up again

So I take her out side then she like to sleep on my shag rug in our bedroom. Any how everything is going good will talk to you soon.

Thanks,

Colleen

Hi Debbie,

Hughie is doing great.  He has adjusted well and is a huge part of the family.  The accidents are minimal( he loves the white carpet best), we just have to get everyone
in the family on the same page as far as potty time, we are trying the bell system. He is eating and drinking well, not so much as a loose stool. He enjoys his crate for down time, however tomorrow will be his first long stretch alone. Josh will ride his bike home at noon to let him out.

He is a smart, receptive little pup.  He has already learned to sit and seems to like to do the 'right' thing.  He responds well to praise and of coarse treats. Today he is doing more talking than I have heard all week.

I have a health certificate from the vet that I can fax if you have a number, or I can mail it to you.

Thanks again, Debbie,

Hi Debbie,

Well we are well on our way to having Ruby in the Edmonton Show next month.  Things are progressing nicely with her and I am sure that the Judges will love her.  She has a unique character and responds very well to praise...in fact that little butt of hers just gets a going that she can haardly contain herself.

I would send you pics now but my digital camera is still broken [thats what happens when the kids get a hold of it behind your back].  I will have pictures for you of the show to send.  I will keep you in the loop as to how things go throughout the show.

Hi!

Here is the letter from the vet. Max is doing great. Thanks!

Max is an absolute delight! We enjoy his company so much.He goes to puppyclass in Winnipeg and they are so impressed with him that they have asked for the name of the breeder. I am busy advertising for you :)

Hi there Debbie,

It's been a long time since I emailed you and I thought I would get in touch to see how you are. I still check your web site out for news and for your new batches of puppies. You have some lovely looking puppies that will soon be able to go home with their new family.

Simba is wonderful and I have never known an animal as smart as he is. He understands everything you say to him and we love him to pieces and of course we spoil him too but he still has manners and I am still the boss in the house. He play fights with my husband and sometimes Simba will get louder and louder and I'll finally yell Simba quiet and he still continues to play fight but he does it quietly... My husband is a bad influence because he does all the aggression things with him but Simba does know when we say settle it means stop and he does so immediately. You helped me out tremendously with him and when I go to the door to answer it, I own the door and he has to sit and wait and he is getting better and better the more we practice. I also watch the dog whisperer every week too and pick up some good tips from them.

Every where we go people comment how handsome he is both in colour and confirmation. When he stands he actually poses and Debbie I hate to say it but you sold us the best puppy you ever raised in looks and intelligence. He watches everything we do and if he knows my husband and I are going out he waits to see if he is going to and of course he watches me. If he has to stay home, I just have to say, "were going out and you are staying home", he immediately runs and jumps into his bed and of course I give him a little snack for staying home. He reacts to everything we say without even thinking about it. I guess it helps that we talk to him like he was a kid and Yuris my husband is home all day long with him. He is the greatest gift and we get so much from him and I just so grateful that I found you. I'm still trying to convince my husband to get another puppy but my husband is hard to convince and he thinks it's not fair to Simba.

I hope all is well with you and your family and I'll email soon with pictures. Take care,

Hello Debbie!

Yes, I received Allegra's CKC papers today actually thank you! And I will send the spay certificate once she's had her surgery.  I did send the vet report the morning after it was done, maybe it got lost in the mail.  I did however keep a copy for myself so I'll send you another copy.  We are probably going to Morden on Sunday (my brother and sister in law live there) I could always drop it off that day if you'll be home.  You could see Allegra again too.

Allegra is such a sweet little girl.  She is so cuddly and loving and acts like my little shadow following me around everywhere I go.  She's such a bossy little thing!  I didn't think it was possible but I think she has more attitude now than she did when I first brought her home!  When she plays with Riley she barks quite a bit, so sometimes Kevin or I have to tell her to quiet down, and when we do she looks right at us barks 3-4 times and runs away.  It's kind of like she's saying "I'll do it but I'm NOT happy about it!"  Also, with her I always know when the water bowl is empty.  If it is and she wants water she starts banging it around and making a racket with it as if to alert us that it's empty and she wants water NOW.  One time we were in the living room when she wanted water and she pushed it into the doorway from the kitchen and living room and laid down beside it...talk about dropping a hint!

We also joke around that we should have named her Tigger.  Not only is she the right colouring, but I swear she has springs for legs! She just loves jumping and it's amazing how high she can jump at only 3 months of age.  She can already jump from the seats of our couch to the top to look out the window and soon enough she'll be able to make it on the couch no problem.

We are sure happy with our spoiled little princess.  She has make such a wonderful addition to our family and we just couldn't be happier!

Hi Debbie,

Just wanted to let you know that Allegra and I are home safe and sound now.  We even went through the bags you gave us.  It was Christmas revisited! I can't believe how much you provided!  Thank you so much!

You're right, she's definitely not a shy puppy!  She's exploring everywhere and watching my every move and even coming up to me for cuddles.  What a sweetheart!  And such a kissy puppy too!

I'm letting her explore the place before introducing her to Riley.  She will meet our Sibe, Suka once she's nice and settled.  I don't want to give her too many scares right away!

Also, I noticed that her CKC registration papers weren't in the package.  The non-breeding agreement was but not any other CKC papers.  I take it they come in the mail afterwards?

Thanks again!  And I will let you know hoe things go after we see the vet on Monday!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Debbie

It has been a while since we last connected but all is great.  Mimi is growing healthy and big.  We will be sending you some pics of her your way.  We had some problems with our digital camera charging because Miss Mimi chewed the cord and we had to fix it.  Now we are able to get you some photos of her soon.

Also I want to inform you that today I put in the mail a copy of Mimi’s vet visit for her spaying, for your records.  So that is all done now and as I mentioned before she is thriving and happy and we love her to bits.

Thanks for all your tender loving care for our Mimi (hugs and kisses from mimi)

Hi debbie
all is very well. Mimi is doing really good she
adjusted to all of us great. We scheduled her vet
appointment for Monday we will let you know how she is
doing. We are very happy with her we are all in love
with her. And Milo loves playing with her and acts
like her mom very protective especially when the cat
comes around her. We will be in touch with you after
the vet visit on Monday.

Hi Debbie,

I am sorry i thought i did send an email to you regarding benjamin's
stool sample, but i guess it must have not gone through. Everything was okay with it and he is doing well. He loves to cuddle and to play and him and my other two dogs get along great. He will be ready for his neutering in about 3 months so once that is done i will send you his papers.

Thanks,

Hi debbie just wanted to let you know that everything is going okay with benjamin he is a sweetie pie and we all love him. I have attached a vet exam that was done today for your copy, and the stool sample will be given back to us sometimes this week or next week and i will write ya an email letting you know how that went.

Good morning, I just wanted to tell you that Sadie is doing great. We love her and so does all of our family and friends .She has been Christmas visiting with us and having lots of fun. We are taking to the vet today at 11:20 am and I'm sure  she will be fine. We would also like to thank you for getting her and all other dogs started on potty training because Sadie is doing amazing we have one pi pad in the kitchen and when she is upstairs we have one in our master bedroom bathroom and she having no problem finding them and doing her business . I'm also sending you a picture of her we took yesterday.

Hi Debbie,

Just wanted to let you know that Ruby has really settled in and you were right - she is very showy and we have already been working with her hair and pinning it up for the top knot.  She doesn't like it but she does have to get use to it.  We also are doing the checking of the teeth, such as the judge would do and she doesn't seem to mind that.  I have been getting her use to stacking as well.  She knows her name very well and give lots of kisses and gets so excited that her whole back end wiggles - it is just too cute.  I have placed a call to a professional handler that I know, to see if we could have Ruby placed in her handling classes, so I am just waiting to hear back from her.  She has been going to the bathroom where she is suppose to with the odd accident but hey, she is only 3 months old.  WHAT A LITTLE GEM she is!!

Hi Debbie,

Just letting you know the night went very well with Ruby.  She slept in her kennel and we never heard a peep from her all night.  She did her business in the morning in the place that I showed her last night.

Today she has started to show herself and has already been excepted by my other 2 dogs.  They have warmed up to each other and have been playing together.  She seems to have settled in very well already.  She absoulutly goes crazy for my husband - giving him lots of kisses and of course she has melted everyones hearts around here.

We are so excited about her going into the Show ring - I know she will do very well with her disposition and her structure.  I am also pleased to have competiition entering into the ring from Manitoba, as it seems that Ontario dominates the ring these day.  So this is a very good move on both of our parts.  I am looking forward to a continued friendship with you.

We got them, thank you.

Shela’s almost ready for her spaying now, except her bottom teeth have not come out yet – we’re just waiting for that.  The vet said maybe next week.

She’s doing great! – fully trained and in fact, we never really had any problems in that department.  We’re very happy with her!

Thank you! Einstein is scheduled for his first grooming next week Friday. We have been fortunate enough to find a groomer (referred by our vet) minutes from our home. I am a little sad about loosing the fur but, have noticed his constant in and out of the house requests. I assume he just wants to go outside for a few minutes to cool off and then come back in with the rest of us.

Also, we have found a trainer and will hopefully start classes in January.

The kids absolutely love Einstein. It still amazes me how he has just blended into our family as if he has always been there.

Thanks again,

Just wanted to let you know that Einstein saw the vet today and everything is well. We have been enjoying him tremendously. He has proven to be an excellent family pet. He walks well on the leash and we even took him for a bike ride yesterday. He happily rode in the bike trailer with Nina. This afternoon we are off to the cottage. Einstein sleeps through the night and then goes outside to do his “thing” before getting his breakfast. Thank you so much for our new family friend!

Hi Debbie, Just a short update on our little Maggie. She is becoming one
wonderful little girl. She is very full of energy. We have solved the pee
pad problem finally. We bought what is called a Multy-Tile from a hardware
store (Totem). This are one foot square rubber pads that you conect together
to line the pee box.The openings are large enough that the pee goes thru. Her
feet don't get wet so all is well. She must be at least 7 pounds now. We
will have her at the vets Mid-Sept for her surgery. We leave for the States
at the begining of October. She has become a wonderful little traveler we
don't even need to stop for potty breaks, she pees on the run. Ha,Ha, Take
care Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Sterling is doing very well!  We took him to the vet for his well check and everyone thought he was just the cutest puppy in the world.  He checked out healthy and happy.  I will send the physical form back to you in the mail today from our vet.  His belly is fine and no scratches or anything from being outside.  I will send pictures this week to you.   I see that Shaq also has a new family.  That must be the hard part about raising puppies.  I'll talk to you soon.

Hi Debbie,

It's 3:oopm my time and we just got home.  Sterling is wonderful! And such a happy go lucky puppy!  He got off the plane and we finally got him at 12:45.  We stopped on the way home so he could go potty, eat a little, and drink.  He was very thirsty.  We just got home, and he met Tommy our Hymalyan cat.  He is very happy go lucky.  I can't wait for the girls to meet him!  I promise to keep in touch.  I can't thank you enough for your patience and willingness to send him all this way!

Have a safe drive home,

Talk to you soon,

Hi,

Calla has been a wonderful addition to our home. We have had her for 5 days
now, and she has not had an accident in the house yet. For night, she sleeps
well in the crate. Only a little bit of whining just after we put her in for
the night, but she quiets down really quickly. And she is quiet in the
morning as long as there's no activity in the house. We are so thankful that
you started her house training and crate training before we brought her
home! It has made it so much easier for us as new puppy owners. We are also
very thankful for the puppy package you gave us. It included some of the
essentials we needed for our puppy, but also some nice extras, like the
collar and leash, toys and treats. Thanks Deb, for making our first puppy
owning experience a positive one!

Hi Debbie,

Zigzag is doing great. He was at the Vet on Friday and he has a slight
bacterial infection that he is treating but other than that is coming along
just fine. He sleeps in is crate and cried for about 5 minutes the first
night and not a peep after that. We had a big family dinner on Sunday night
and he was the centre of attention. Mikayla loves him.

Thanks,

Hi Debbie,

Miko is doing great he hasn't had any accidents in the house for a few weeks now.  When he needs to go outside he sits by the door and doesn't make a sound.  We are in the process of building our deck so the original door he was use to going out from changed to another door but he learned quickly!  I am looking forward to his last shot so we can take him out for walks without worrying too much about him getting sick.

I have a couple of questions, my vet said he shouldn't get fixed till he is 6 months, i believe the contract said he had to be fixed by then.  Is it ok if it is a little bit after?

Also, when people come by to the house miko gets really excited and starts to piddle even if we take him out to pee before hand.  It this normal?  Will it eventually stop?

Miko's vet check went good....He will be going for his next shot on the
20th...

He slept through the night last night...He was originally in a secluded area
when he was waking up at 3 am ....last night we had his crate in our
room...he whined at 3 am and I stuck my finger through the crate door then
he went back to sleep.

Hi Debbie,

I know you only have Simba's best interest at heart and I didn't take it
personally. I trust your opinions and advice more then anyone as no one
cares more about his welfare then you. I think as a regular practice I will
insist on having them clean tables and scales in front of me at least until
Simba is fully vaccinated. He is just so precious that we couldn't imagine
anything happening to him and I understand you are only trying to help us
protect him. I just hope that you never are bothered by my many questions
and I truly appreciate all your quick and thorough replies. I will be so
glad when he safely survives the next few weeks and months. Thanks again,
I'm sure I'll talk to you soon.

Hi Debbie,

Simba is doing great and has picked up the house training quicker then I
thought possible. He has had 3 very successful days, no accident and now
that it is colder out he does his business quickly. He definitely has
become the prince of the house, he just has to look at us and we all melt.
He seems to have settled in quite nicely and last night at 10:00 we let him
outside for his last potty and he came in the door and went directly into
his crate. It was like he knew it was bedtime, he doesn't use the crate for
naps but prefers the floor or this little puppy bed we have for him, he is
just so smart.

Hi Debbie,

Thanks again for the great details and wow, I can't believe the items you give away in a puppy package. You really go that extra step and to me it shows your total dedication to your dogs, their puppies and the breed itself. If I didn't know before, I definitely believe now that I have found the right lady to buy my puppy from. I also know, it isn't the money that's important to you. I do think your dogs are worth the price you charge when you consider the high level of breeding, all the extra training each puppy receives, the always available advice, the puppy package. It's not an issue with me but with some people it might steer them away or they may think twice about the committment they are making and if they pay a little more then maybe they will care a little more and make sure the puppy's health and welfare is a high priority. Maybe also they will do the research and pay attention to all the ways you can help eliminate your puppy from catching diseases from other dogs. I didn't know all these things either but you can be sure I will take all the precautions. I will need to do this but it's because of love not money.

What are the Vets saying about our puppies?
